Flowers, chocolate, and jewelry may get top billing when it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts, but they’re nothing compared to these over-the-top experiences being offered by hotels around the world. From stays in penthouse suites to the gift of glass slippers, here’s where lovebirds with deep pockets can check in to have a romantic holiday.

La Reserve Paris (Paris, France)
There’s nothing dreamier than spending the night in one of the most romantic cities in the world. La Reserve Paris is offering a three-night Priceless Romance package for stays in the presidential suite, with rates starting from €9,000 ($9,810) per night. In the suite, find a Steinway piano, wine cellar, dressing room, a bathroom with Carrara marble, and personalized items for the couple -- think: linens and bathrooms, plus flowers, chocolates, and champagne. And that’s not all. Guests can choose from a variety of add-ons to further enhance the stay, including: airport transfers in a Rolls Royce ($1,243 round-trip); an executive chef-curated three-course dinner with wine served in-suite ($872 per couple); private spa access; or champagne on the roof of the Grand Palais, which is usually closed to the public.

Royal Mansour (Marrakech, Morocco)
Have you ever stayed in a hotel that’s owned by royalty? Splurging for Valentine's Day is your chance. Owned by the King of Morocco, Royal Mansour is offering an Enchanted Evening package, from $917, for overnight stays on February 13 or 14. Sweethearts will be treated to guided fast-track service through customs at Marrakech Airport, private transfer to the property, and, if available, a complimentary upgrade from a superior one-bedroom riad to a premier one-bedroom riad that has its own plunge pool and solarium. Topping off a truly royal experience, there’s the chance to dine at La Table Restaurant for a five-course dinner created by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alleno.

Mandarin Oriental (Nationwide)
A number of Mandarin Oriental properties across the country are getting into the spirit of Valentine’s Day with special packages. Many of the experiences include a bottle of bubbly, breakfast, or a late check-out, but our favorite is Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta’s Decadent Romance. Available for stays February 5-13, the package includes daily in-room breakfast, rose petal turndown service, champagne, box of chocolate, and a pair of tickets to the city’s production of “Moulin Rouge.” Rates start from $595 per night.
