About Carolyn Balk
Originally from Boston, Carolyn Balk is a student at New York University and ShermansTravel.com's current online editorial intern. After spending her senior year of high school in Spain and taking a gap year to travel through Southeast Asia and the Southern Cone of South America, Carolyn knew she wanted to work in the travel industry. She is also the “Around the World” section editor of NYU’s travel magazine, where she writes articles about subjects like scaling Chile’s 9340-foot-high Volcán Villarica or making rice paper in Vietnam.
