If you’re thinking about booking a cruise, now is a seriously good time to do it.
The months of January, February, and March (known as Wave Season) always come with great discounts and offers from cruise lines — and this year that includes a sweet deal from Royal Caribbean.
The family-friendly line, known for high-energy onboard activities like surfing and rock climbing, is offering travelers who book by March 31 a 30 percent discount for every guest, on every ship.
And if you book by March 7 you can also knock up to $150 off your fare on top of the 30 percent discount, based on the duration of your cruise. The more nights you’re on board and the higher your cabin category, the more you’ll save. (You’ll get $50 off if you book an interior or ocean view stateroom, for example, or $150 off if you book a suite.)
If you’re booking the New York-based Anthem of the Seas, you’ll receive up to an additional $100 off per stateroom — not a bad deal for a ship that launched in 2015, and has high-tech extras like a robot bartender and skydiving simulator.
Just make sure the cruise you choose leaves after April 1 to get all of these discounts.
So exactly how much can you save? Here are some examples that we found:
- Western Caribbean: A 7-night cruise leaving April 22 on the line’s newest — and the world’s largest — ship, Harmony of the Seas, would drop from $871 to $560 for an ocean view stateroom, while a suite would come down from $2,039 to $1,400.
- Europe: A 7-night cruise from Barcelona to Venice this May would drop from $1,099 to $719 for an ocean view stateroom and a balcony room from $2,039 to $1,327.
- Alaska: A 7-night cruise this May would also come to $719 with the discount, and a suite would drop from $1,788 to $1,102.
So, hop to it if you want to vacation for less — Wave Season ends in March, and the great prices will sail away along with it. Visit RoyalCaribbean.com, or call to book.
