Have time to kill between a cruise and your flight home? Simply looking to relax by a pool without spending the night at a resort? With a purchase of a day pass, you can do so at many Miami hotels and resorts. We only found one resort in Fort Lauderdale that offered a pass, which we’ve detailed below.
Kimpton EPIC Hotel
The least expensive day pass we could find gets you into the 16th floor pool terrace of the Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Downtown Miami. For only $20 per person, receive access to two swimming pools overlooking Biscayne Bay.
The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale
As mentioned, only one Fort Lauderdale property offers anything resembling a day pass. At The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale, non-overnight guests may reserve cabanas from $300 per couple. Additional party members cost $50 each. Cabanas are available throughout the year, except on holidays, and come with complimentary fruit, water, waiter service, and a private TV and speakers.
The Raleigh Hotel
Surround yourself with quintessential Miami Art Deco at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach. To relax by the pool for the day, guests must meet a food and beverage minimum: $30 per person Monday – Thursday and $60 per person Friday – Saturday. Or, upgrade your day with a cabana reservation. Rates vary by party size and day. Inquire with the hotel.
The Standard Spa
Off the beaten tourist path on Belle Isle, the Standard Spa’s lush spa grounds treat guests to a large saltwater pool, hot tub, and cold plunge. Full poolside service includes brunch and lunch menus offering up healthy organic fare, fresh-pressed juices, and cocktails (food and beverages cost extra). Spend a weekday at the Standard for $75 per person. Weekends cost $150 per person. Admission provides you with a chair, towel, umbrella, locker, and bath robe.
Four Seasons Hotel Miami
Ranked the second best hotel in Miami on TripAdvisor, the 5-star Four Seasons Hotel Miami in Downtown can easily cost more than $500 per night. Why not stay elsewhere for less and enjoy the luxe hotel’s pool for $50? You’ll also have access to a shallower pool where you can swing on a hammock over water. Call ahead of time — the hotel limits the number of non-overnight guests during high occupancy periods.
Mondrian South Beach Hotel
Hammocks and lounge areas surrounded by tropical vegetation and a bay-front pool await at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel. Pool guests without overnight reservations must meet a $50 food and beverage minimum.
COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach
For $65 per person, a day pass at the COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach covers the expansive ground-floor pool, beach chairs on the hotel’s the gym, locker room, a hydro therapy pool, and spa. Day pass holders receive 15 percent off spa treatments. Parking costs an additional $20.
National Hotel Miami Beach
Situated in South Beach’s Art Deco neighborhood, the National Hotel is home of one of the area’s largest pools. Take dip and soak up the sun for $30 per person. Note the property often has raucous pool parties — if you prefer a calmer atmosphere, call ahead to see what the day has in store.
