For adults looking to unwind after a long day at the Walt Disney World parks, a boozy beverage may be just the solution. With creative menus across the resort, a craft cocktail is easy to find. Here are five libations you should sip on your next trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”
Strawberry Cobbler Martini at STK Orlando
The cocktail menu at Disney Springs’ STK Orlando matches the chic and sophisticated vibe of the restaurant. A standout here is the Strawberry Cobbler Martini, made of Belvedere vodka, freshly muddled strawberries, and a graham cracker crust rim. It’s deliciously sweet, so plan on sipping your dessert.
Grand Marnier Orange Slush at Epcot’s France Pavilion
Here’s your version of an adult slushee, served in a martini glass, naturally. Made with Grey Goose vodka and Grand Marnier Orange, “the slush” is one of our favorite drinks to order at Epcot. It has a cult following, too, with a number of online posts dedicated to making at-home versions. To find it, just look for the crowd at the kiosk across from Les Chefs de France.
Blue Hooch at Homecoming
Even Disney is getting in on the whole prohibition trend. Head to Disney Springs and pull up a chair at Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming, where Blue Hooch is one of the signature moonshine cocktails. As one of the eatery’s most popular drinks, it’s a blend of Blue Flame moonshine, lemon-infused moonshine, blue Curacao, and a dash of Sprite.
HippopotoMai-Tai at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace
For fancy tropical drinks with umbrellas, garnishes, and the occasional shrunken zombie head, the place to go is Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Made with two kinds of rum, orange Curacao, lime juice, and organic agave nectar, the HippopotoMai-Tai is a potent cocktail served in its own souvenir tiki glass. After drinking just one, you’ll be thankful that the hotel is right on the monorail line.
Nashi Pear Margarita at Morimoto Asia
Chef Morimoto, of Iron Chef America fame, serves up killer cocktails at his Pan-Asian restaurant at Disney Springs. The Nashi Pear Margarita, swirled with Maestro Dobel tequila, Asian pear puree, fresh lime juice, and Cointreau, is the ideal warm weather sip with a fresh citrus kick.
