The beach is a huge draw for a late-summer vacation or a quiet retreat after school’s back in session. Fortunately, deals are in abundance for August and September escapes, given that the summer rush is over. From Hawaii to Tobago -- and many spots in between -- here are six places to score savings.

From $80: Villas H20 (Tulum, Mexico)
This contemporary boutique hotel's low season falls in August and September, during which ground floor rooms with two full beds are priced from $80; upper floor rooms with one king or two full beds are from $100. Those rates are $30 cheaper per night compared to high season, which runs this November 16 to December 19. Folded into the rate is daily continental breakfast, and each room has a balcony or patio. The property is a short walk from the beach, and offers spa treatments that can be given in your room or poolside.

From $123: The Chesterfield Palm Beach (Palm Beach, FL)
This Palm Beach mainstay is offering your third night free with the 3 Nights for the Price of 2 special when you use promo code 3FOR2. Under the deal, we found superior queen room rates as low as $123.23 per night for weekdays in August and September; that same room costs $310 and up in February. On property are 53 rooms and suites, a pool, afternoon tea service, and the snazzy Leopard Lounge Restaurant.

From $150: Blue Waters Inn (Tobago)
The longer you stay at this beachfront inn between June 30 and September 1, the more you'll save. Two nights are from $343 total in a standard room; three nights are from $500; and five nights are from $750 -- meaning each night is from $150-$172. That's considerable savings compared to winter and spring stays, during which rates are from $293. The rate also includes breakfast at this 46-acre estate, where there's close proximity to diving spots, birdwatching, and kayaking.

From $169: The Belamar (Manhattan Beach, CA)
Staying near the beach in Los Angeles County can be pricey, but at this outpost you can nab weekday rates from $169 in traditional king or double bed rooms come mid-September -- a significant drop from August weekend rates $297 and higher. Located a little under two miles from the beach -- and the wildly popular Strand for rollerbladers, dog walkers, and joggers -- guests have access to cabanas in a sunny courtyard, on-site bike rentals, and a pool.

From $185: Salt House Inn (Provincetown, MA)|
After the summer crowds leave Cape Cod, so do the high hotel rates. While in July and August you’d pay as much as $445 per night to stay at this stylish standard, prices make the big drop to $185 for weekdays in September. Shack up in this cedar-shingled inn, with 15 rooms awash in crisp whites and quirky vintage wall art (think: wooden oars, metal lanterns, and ceramic plates).

From $189: Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa (Kona, HI)
From learning about unique island culture and customs to settling into beach adventures, this oceanfront resort has it. Throughout most nights in late August and September, rates for mountain view rooms are from $189. Want to put off your stay until 2017? January rates are from $229.
