Nature lovers in search of an outdoor winter retreat -- that doesn’t involve any snow  -- may want to set their sights on Georgia’s Sea Island. The Leap Year 2016 at Sea Island promotion is good for stays of two nights or more between February 25 and March 2, combining a $29 room rate on February 29 with the rest of the days in your stay. We found rates that start from $425 per night for standard rooms with two queen beds at The Lodge during the travel period, averaging to $227 per night if you stay for one night at the special rate and one night at the regular rate. Another promotion to consider is one that offers your third night for $77 at The Cloister for stays until February 29. More about the lodging options: In addition to its 200 rooms, The Cloister also encompasses areas with suites and villas. Accommodations are outfitted with exposed beam ceilings, dark wood furniture, hardwood floors with Turkish rugs, and soaking tubs. The Lodge has smaller size and a more intimate feel. Rooms here also have exposed beam ceilings, Oriental rugs, and views of the St. Simons Sound, Atlantic Ocean, or one of three golf courses.
