The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, one of Walt Disney World’s most popular annual events, is kicking off on September 25. Just as exciting, to coincide with the festival, the Downtown Disney Resort Area Hotels are offering special fall rates as low as $69 per night.
The culinary festival, which brings a taste of global cuisine to the theme park, features more than 30 marketplaces that showcase the flavors of Brazil, Patagonia, Scotland, South Korea, and other locales. It runs through November 16, and it also includes a special concert series called “Eat to the Beat,” with performances by such musical luminaries as Boyz II Men and Hanson. But, wait — there’s more! Guests will have access to demonstrations and seminars, including ones about various culinary techniques and mixology. (Entry to the festival is included with theme park admission, but food samples — think: pierogis, Gaoli beef sliders, and fisherman’s pie — seminars, and other activities require a separate fee.)
So what about those hotels? Keep in mind that, year-round, staying at the resort’s properties near its shopping, dining, and entertainment district include complimentary shuttle service to the Disney theme parks and the chance to purchase tickets onsite. For fall, here’s a look at the low rates on offer:
Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel: We found the lowest rate of $69 per night available in deluxe rooms with two queen beds throughout the festival period, except on Friday and Saturday nights when prices shoot up to $89.
