Want to ditch the crowds of people at the airport this year? Just hop on a train, especially if you’re looking to travel throughout Europe.

Making that notion even more appealing is a deal from Rail Europe that discounts EuroStar standard premier (comfort class) tickets by 20 percent for travel between London and Paris or Brussels, with one-way rates starting at $121.

The offer must be booked by March 24 and is valid for travel on most dates through August 31. There are time, restrictions, however — discounted tickets are only available on Monday to Thursday departures between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Departures from Friday to Sunday aren’t subject to any time limits.)

If you’re looking to visit two of the most storied cities in the world, we found a few London to Paris departures for $121 on March 23, including ones at 8:31 a.m., 9:17 a.m., 11:31 a.m., 12:25 p.m., and 2:31 p.m. Weekend travelers might like the $121 price tag on March 14’s departures at 12:01 p.m., 12:25 p.m., 1:31 p.m., 3:31 p.m., 4:22 p.m., 5:31 p.m., 6:31 p.m., and 8:01 p.m.

For those hoping to pound the pavement in Brussels, snap up $121 tickets for all four April 27 departures from London. Prefer to do it on the weekends? Virtually every weekend in April and May are blacked out, but if you’re flexible and can hold off until June, you can scoop up a $121 London-Brussels ticket for a 12:58 p.m. departure on June 6.

Along with this 20 percent offer, Rail Europe also has a 10 percent discount on the London Pass and Paris Pass, which are both valid for travel six months from the date it is issued, until March 24. The London Pass gives you the choice of one to three or six consecutive days, free admission to more than 70 attractions with VIP entry at many of them, and guidebook with discount vouchers. Prices are from $70.

Thinking of getting a Paris Pass? With prices starting at $138, this option includes your choice of two, four or six consecutive days, plus priority admission and free access to more than 60 sights — including the Palace of Versailles. You’ll also get a wine tasting, river cruise, and one day of hop on/off bus tour.
