Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas is making its highly anticipated New York City-area debut in a matter of days — and just in time, there’s a deal for two upcoming voyages. Interior staterooms are priced from $698 per person, based on double occupancy for a seven-night Bahamas cruise departing February 6, 2016 from New Jersey’s Cape Liberty. From there, it’ll make stops in Port Canaveral, Florida; Nassau, Bahamas; and CocoCay, the line’s private Caribbean island. Or, depart this December 12 for $14 more.
As with anything new and shiny, brand new cruise ships tend to come with a hefty price markup, making this offer somewhat unique — and a great deal. And as a truly excellent bonus, guests will receive $100 in onboard credit per cabin that can be used for drinks, spa treatments, and more.
For the February voyage, we found interior staterooms with “virtual balconies” priced from $698 per person. Staterooms with virtual balconies pipe in a feed of real-time views of the outside of the ship.
The sister ship to Quantum of the Seas, Anthem launched earlier this year and has been making the rounds in Europe before its big American debut. The 4,000-plus passenger ship has the requisite restaurants, bars, and pools, but you’ll also find a bionic bartender, a skydiving simulator, bumper cars, and a hydraulic viewing pod that lifts passengers up over 300 feet above the sea.
