Right in the middle of prime shopping season, a new deal at Grand Hyatt New York slashes room rates so you can have a little more in your budget for your purchases--and offers some gift-related extras in the spirit of the holidays. But we bet that rates won't be around for long, so you should act fast if you're interested.

The Midtown property's Wrappers Delight Package, available December 24-27, offers rates starting at $199 a night, plus complimentary WiFi. Hotel staff will even wrap up to two gifts during your stay -- and if you make a gift wrapping donation, all proceeds will go to Volunteers of America. If your contribution is more than $500, the hotel’s general manager will do the wrapping himself. Book online using special code WRAP.

We tested the promotion and was able to find $199 rates on the nights of December 22-26, for king and queen rooms. If you’d like to stay sooner, say December 17-19, nightly rates are $219.

The hotel is located on the same block as Grand Central Terminal and is a hop, skip, and a jump from the holiday festivities at Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center.
