As much fun as a spa weekend can be, if you can shift the pampering to a weeknight, the savings are huge at some big-city spas. From San Francisco to Atlanta, happy hour-style spa specials mean general price reductions as well as mini-treatments for a fraction of the price of full-length ones. Here are four great promotions:

Joya Spa at Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia
Nestled in one of the country’s best spa cities, Joya Spa at Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is attempting to entice visitors after 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. That’s when, as part of the Afternoon Escape deal, you can get a 50-minute Classic massage or Transformation facial for $99, a drastic reduction from $159 on weekends and $149 during other weekday hours. The hyper-local spa -- inspired by Morocco’s desert -- culls its Joyambrosia signature scent from a cactus flower that blooms only under a full moon planted right outside the spa entrance.

Hibiscus Spa at Westin Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa
Head to the Strip on a weekday and you’ll cash in on savings at Hibiscus Spa, a tranquil 10,000-square-foot retreat within Westin Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa. From Monday through Friday, those looking to relax can choose two or more from a collection of six specials. Options range from a 30-minute Rapid Rejuvenator manicure for $30 (normally $40) to an 80-minute Swedish massage for $140 (normally $160).

Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco
Just off Union Square, this upscale spa is tucked into San Francisco's business and shopping district. In July the spa debuted a happy hour menu with express services in the $40-$150 range, available Monday through Friday evenings. Like the rest of its regular menu ($110-$620), these special services fold in the Eastern philosophies mirrored in the spas Asian-inspired urban-chic aesthetic. Spring for treatments like a 45-minute Calm Mind massage ($150) or a 30-minute Carboxi Express Facial ($100), and you'll also receive a complimentary spa cocktail. Bonus: Being a guest at the spa also gets you a 15 percent discount at Brasserie S&P, the hotel’s eatery.

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta
Drop by this spa in Midtown Atlanta between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and an evening of pampering will cost just $99. Included are two 25-minute treatments from a roster of six, plus a glass of either Prosecco or sparkling cider. Whether you need a De-Stress massage to work out the kinks in your neck and shoulders from a harrowing flight or want some extra R&R with a Tropical body exfoliation using an organic coconut and sunflower body scrub, you'll come out feeling like a whole new traveler.
