Whether you're splurging or saving on your hotel, there's a way to get more out of your stay. A property that offers free, outdoorsy perks is perfect for guests who favor an active getaway for spring. From complimentary rounds of golf at a lakeside resort in Wisconsin to paddleboarding classes at a Chesapeake Bay retreat, here are our favorite hotel freebies this season:

Paddleboard Classes and Paddleboard Yoga
Adventurous travelers (with a good sense of balance) will love the complimentary paddleboard and stand-up paddleboard classes at Virginia’s Tides Inn. The hotel’s location on Carter’s Creek in Chesapeake Bay makes it an ideal place for beginners. For more seasoned participants, Tides Inn also hosts paddleboard yoga classes.
Rates start at $145 per night.

Spin, Yoga, and Fresh-Pressed Juices
The newly opened Yoga Pavilion at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa promises a serene backdrop for the hotel’s free yoga classes. You can also try TRX suspension training for building strength and flexibility, and high-energy spin classes. After class, guests can sip on a banana peanut butter protein shake, or a kale, spinach, and apple cold-pressed juice.
Rates start at $420 per night.

Rounds of Golf
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin offers up a Stay and Golf Free package that treats guests to two complimentary rounds with a one-night stay in a deluxe guest room. The property boasts two gorgeous courses – The Highlands, a Jack Nicklaus-designed Scottish style course, and Brute, comprising 7,000 yards of challenging greens. The package is available from April 1 to late October.
Rates from $199 per night.

Custom Designer Bikes
Touring New York City is infinitely more enjoyable on a chic designer bicycle, like the ones lent to guests at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Designed by fashion industry veteran Lorenzo Martone, the all-white Martone Cycling Co. bikes make for a stylish and statement-making ride.
Rates from $450 per night.

A Workout Closet and Nike Fuel Band
Staying fit while traveling isn’t a problem at The Nines Hotel in Portland, Oregon. The property recently debuted a “workout closet,” which offers guests a variety of exercise equipment ranging from kettle bells to yoga mats to workout DVDs, all for in-room use. Guests can also borrow a Nike Fuel Band to track their fitness progress for the duration of their visit.
Rates start at $199 per night.
