Hi, I was wondering if most people stay in Reykjavik or is there other things to do in Iceland, outside of Reykjavik? I’ve never been to Iceland but am planning a trip there soon!

  • campervan rental says:

    Nice Post
I will surely visit the place in my next vacation
hop so it will become enjoyable

  • Michael J. says:

Iceland used to have a weeklong summer circumnavigation of the island on a tour boat with stopoffs at interesting places. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing. Wonder whether it still exists.

  • Marilyn Long says:

There are tours that you can take outside of Reykjavik to see waterfalls, glaciers, northern lights, a traditional village, etc. You can, of course, rent a car and do your own tour. You should also go out to the Blue Lagoon which is close to the Keflavik airport. It is an amazing experience to submerge yourself in soothing warm water which will remove any callous on your body while the air surrounding your face may be below freezing. Depending on the time of year when you visit, you may also do whale watching or objservie the puffin colonies.

Just came back from Iceland and have to say it was one of our best trips ever! Stay in Reykjavik..we stayed at the Reykjavik Lights…take the Golden Circle Tour of Waterfalls and geysirs, see the Northern Lights and Blue Lagoon ( also a geo- thermal pool across the street from hotel)..we did not have enough time to see the glaciers, but that should be on your list, as well. Take a day to walk around the city…beautiful art and wonderful, warm people….you will not regret this trip. Do it.
