Oasis Collections, an American-run, South American-based short-term apartment rental agency – and self-dubbed "curators of stylish pads" – has recently launched a series of budget-friendly upscale vacation rentals, spanning some of South America’s hottest destinations, for under $250/night.

Striving to bridge the gap between a hotel and apartment rental experience, Oasis Collections’ portfolio includes more than 500 hand-picked, high-end property listings in prime locations in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Uruguay. Expect plenty of great-value amenities (like a fully equipped kitchen to save money on pricey restaurant meals), well-vetted design-minded apartments (many with special architectural features), and privacy in prime neighborhoods (where you’ll find an authentic live-like-a-local experience, far removed from the big box hotel stay).

Plus, Oasis Collections stands apart from other apartment rental sites by throwing in the complimentary services of an on-call dedicated English-speaking concierge for destination advice and ease of check in and checkout. Plus, for-fee extras can be easily arranged, like having a driver set up or stocking your fridge with your favorites upon arrival.

Recently touring Medellin, Colombia, a newly developing market for Oasis, I checked out one of their apartment offerings – a massive 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom mega-modern apartment (pictured above), tucked into the leafy and fashionable Poblado neighborhood. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, a massive wraparound balcony with views over the city (further maximized by a BBQ grill and workout machine), fully-equipped kitchen, and a trio of bedrooms with queen-size beds, plasma TVs, and personal safes (perfect to split between family or friends traveling together), it also came with special vacation-minded extras like a bar-trimmed living room and on-site sauna. Plus, all of the basics were included, like linens, towels, and Internet. Set just steps from the nightlife-and-restaurant haven in Parque Lleras, rates start from $235/night (minimum 4-night stay required).

Other budget-friendly properties under $250/night include the Santa Barbara Duplex in Bogotá, Colombia, a spacious two-floor flat with a shared top-floor Jacuzzi, sauna, and Turkish bath, and the Garden Apartment in Buenos Aires, a modern studio with access to the building's pool and grill, set a block from Parque las Heras.

As an added bonus for renters in the Buenos Aires market (where the company was launched), Oasis guests also get access to The Clubhouse (pictured to the right), the city’s premier members-only club, set in the chic Palermo Soho neighborhood. Here, mingle with fellow guests and local community members, throw back signature cocktails, and attend cultural events, pool parties, and more. The chic four-floor complex has two bars, a pool and garden, and a trio of guestrooms. Renters’ remorse, be gone.
