Access to Grand Bahama Island’s crystal waters gets even easier (and cheaper!) this November, when budget carrier Vision Airlines launches direct flights to Freeport from five U.S. cities:
- Baltimore Washington, MD: Monday, Thursday, from $99 each way (about $319 round-trip after taxes)
- Fort Lauderdale, FL: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, from $39 each way (about $199 round-trip after taxes)
- Louisville, KY: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, from $99 each way (about $319 round-trip after taxes)
- Raleigh/Durham, NC: Monday, Friday, from $99 each way (about $319 round-trip after taxes)
- Richmond, VA: Monday, Friday, from $99 each way (about $319 round-trip after taxes)
Even with the hefty taxes, this presents substantial savings over other carriers: In the first week of November, Continental offers the next-cheapest rate from Baltimore Washington for $555; Bahamas Air sells the second cheapest flight from Fort Lauderdale for $280; American sells the second cheapest flight from Louisville for $658; American also offers the second-lowest rate from Raleigh/Durham for $541; and United sells the next-lowest ticket from Richmond for $596.
Tickets for these routes, which kick off the first week in November, are now for sale on Vision’s website.
