Beverly Garland’s Holiday Inn

This attractive mission-style hotel was built for B-movie actress Beverly Garland (of My Three Sons fame) by her husband Filmore Crank in 1971. Its convenient location, close to Universal, NBC, and Disney studios, makes it a smart budget choice for families and business travelers. All 255 rooms and suites were updated recently and feature contemporary furnishings and splashes of color. Units include free Internet access, cable TV, coffeemakers and private balconies. Cadillac Hotel

The retro pink-and-aqua Cadillac Hotel fronts Venice beach, near the promenade and trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Built in 1914, the four-story landmark hotel was once the summer residence of Charlie Chaplin and still sports an art deco lobby with white and black checkerboard tiles. Farmer’s Daughter Hotel

Known as the “Price is Right” motel, both for its budget rates and location across from CBS where the famous game show is filmed, the Farmer’s Daughter Hotel sports a country-modern motif.
