Two years after its wildly popular “Best Job in the World” competition – in which participants vied for a spot as an “island caretaker” on Australia’s Hamilton Island, a.k.a. tanning, scuba diving, and blogging from paradise  – Tourism Queensland is back with another blowout contest, this time for the business traveling set.

Dubbed the “Million Dollar Memo" (www.milliondollarmemo.com), this giveaway has companies face off to win a cool $1 million AUD worth of Queensland travel prizes for employees.

Entering the contest is pretty simple: Any business may submit a minute-long video showcasing how fantastic the company is and why its workers deserve the grand prize (the deadline is May 1). Tourism Queensland will name the top 50 entries by June 1 – composed of five “People’s Choice” winners and 45 entrants selected by the tourism bureau – then narrow the pool to 20 finalists five days later.

The fun really starts August 24, when one representative from each of the top 20 companies will jet to Australia to duke it out in the “Challenge Event,” a week-long vacation competition touring Queensland’s Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Whitsundays, and Tropical North regions. The winner nabs the $1 million prize for the office.

In case the chance to dive the Great Barrier Reef, spot a platypus in Mackay, or cruise to Whitehaven Beach aren’t incentive enough to whip up a video, consider this: All entries uploaded by April 17 will be entered to win a $50,000, 3-night luxury stay in Queensland or 50 Apple gift cards worth $1,000 AUD a piece.
