Glide Around Temporary Ice Skating Rinks

It’s official: This winter’s best hotel amenity trend has to be temporary ice skating rinks. At the Banyan Tree Club & Spa in Seoul, the outdoor swimming pool has been transformed into an ice rink for guests to skid around on all year long. Stateside, hotels that created rinks this winter include New York’s The Standard and W New York Downtown, The Charles in Cambridge, and – even more wonderful given the perimeters of palm trees – Hotel del Coronado in San Diego and the W Los Angeles-Westwood.
