The Luxury When golf great Jack Nicklaus deemed Pebble Beach’s oceanfront fairways along the rocky Monterey Coast “possibly the best in the world,” he meant it. Built in 1919, the legendary course completed a decade-long conditioning project this summer, led by Nicklaus’s former rival, Arnold Palmer – just in time to host its fifth U.S. Open tournament in June.
