With Paris’s Musée National Picasso closed for renovations from 2009-2012, some of the artist’s top works have gone on tour. The next stop (and the first in the U.S.) is the Seattle Art Museum, whose exhibit Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso opens October 8. We can’t think of a better place to rest your head during the exhibit than the Alexis Hotel, an art-themed Kimpton property just down the street from the museum (they even have a SAM suite, pictured).

Alexis’ Art of Picasso package treats you to two VIP tickets to the exhibit, two Picasso cocktails (Bulleit Bourbon, tonic, and lemon) at the hotel’s Bookstore Bar, an order of “Blue Fries” (with bacon and blue cheese), a Picasso poster, and free valet parking. Extra exhibit tickets can be purchased from the hotel for $20 (versus $23 at the museum).

Rates start at $249/night for this package. Though that’s about $40 more per night than what you’d pay for just the room, all those extras – museum tickets, cocktails, parking – really add up into serious overall savings. The package is available throughout the exhibit’s run, from October 8 to January 9, 2011.
