Park Hyatt TokyoTravelers who live to eat have long flocked to Tokyo for its world-class restaurants and stellar eats. From sinus-clearing wasabi to meticulously prepared sushi rolls, the über-modern city is an excess for the senses – and this spring, Hyatt is getting in on the gastronomic action with foodie specials at both its Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Park Hyatt Tokyo locations.

La Terrace Spring Night
Now through May 31, celebrate the Grand Hyatt’s spiffed up rooftop bar, La Terrace, with the “La Terrace Spring Night” package. The $47 feast comes with 90 minutes of all-you-can-sip cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks; each glass is paired with chef-selected appetizers and an Amuse bouche.

Wasabi Fair
For proof that wasabi does more than heat up California rolls, head to the Grand Hyatt’s 2010 Wasabi Fair at Shunbou. Now through May 31, Shunbou executive chef Josef Budde pairs wasabi tofu and wasabi-steamed rice with tamer entrees, such as marbled tuna and grilled Hida beef. Tone down the spice with sake suggestions from sommelier Atsushi Sato. Featured plates start at $11.

Tsukiji Fish Market

Each Wednesday morning, in-the-know Park Hyatt guests discover just how fresh that tuna roll is when they prowl Tsukiji Fish Market (the world’s largest!) with Kozue executive chef Stafan Moerth. The group selects the seafood for that night’s menu at Kozue, which dishes contemporary Japanese fare, and the free tour is only available by reservation to travelers staying at the Park Hyatt.
