Set on a peaceful street dotted with purple jacaranda trees, the hotel is a quiet sanctuary in the midst of the citys most happening neighborhood; guests happily mingle during the complimentary breakfast or on the leafy, sun-dappled terrace. And as for the pretty face: Each of the spacious and beautiful rooms honors an historic Argentine personality, from El Escritor, a tribute to Jorge Luis Borges (complete with a typewriter atop an antique desk) to the Che-inspired El Idealista and the La Contestataria, dedicated to iconic local comic strip Mafalda. All in all, it makes for a memorable if not inspiring stay. From $190/night.
