airfrance_abdallahh_edit.jpgNearly three months have passed since the ill-fated Air France flight AF447 crashed into the Atlantic, killing all 228 people on board, and now one flight attendant’s family is taking legal action. The family of Air France crew member Clara Amado has hired an attorney, with hopes of finding answers to their lingering questions. “We want to know the exact causes of the accident and we want people to assume their responsibilities,” said Jean-Claude Guidicelli, the lawyer representing Amado’s father and brother.

On June 1, Air France flight AF447 crashed off the coast of Brazil while flying from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, marking the incident as the deadliest crash in the company’s 75-year history. Investigators are still trying to sort out the cause of the accident and said faulty speed sensor readings could have been a factor, but were unlikely to have been the sole cause.

Air France said it was cooperating fully with all investigations. As for the case of Amado’s family, a spokeswoman for the airline declined to comment but said Air France respected their grief and shared their sorrow.
