On June 1, Air France flight AF447 crashed off the coast of Brazil while flying from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, marking the incident as the deadliest crash in the companys 75-year history. Investigators are still trying to sort out the cause of the accident and said faulty speed sensor readings could have been a factor, but were unlikely to have been the sole cause.
Air France said it was cooperating fully with all investigations. As for the case of Amados family, a spokeswoman for the airline declined to comment but said Air France respected their grief and shared their sorrow.
