Luxury cruise line, Silversea, will soon introduce the newest addition to its fleet, the Silver Spirit. This all-inclusive ship sets sail on her 91-day "Grand Inaugural Voyage" on January 21, 2010, from Port Everglades. This veritable floating gallery of amenities features all the grandeur of a palace, plus plenty of personal touches to suit your moods and delight your senses.

The new vessel offers butler service, six restaurants, and the largest suites in the fleet – 95 percent of which come equipped with private verandas. Plus, patrons can enjoy a brand-new complimentary service in suite staterooms: on-demand scent. Silversea commissioned Italian perfumer Laura Tonatto – whose clientele includes the King and Queen of Sweden – to create an ambiance that is unique to each passenger. Aromatherapy room scents such as lavender and orange blossom are on demand to soothe the senses.

Silver Spirit also proudly bears the color green as energy conservation was considered throughout her construction. The ship features LED lighting and diesel/electric propulsion engines, guaranteeing better fuel economy and smoother sailing.

All of these innovations will be available for customers to experience during the epic Grand Inaugural Voyage, also known as “The Spirit of South America.” The night before departure, guests are invited to a gala dinner, christening ceremony, and VIP luncheon. On January 21, 2010, this unique itinerary takes travelers from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, New York, the Mexican Riviera, the Panama Canal, Buenos Aires, Lima, Acapulco, and more. The ship will visit 45 ports of call in 20 different countries and island destinations, with an extra special sweetheart stop in Rio de Janeiro on February 14 – right at the height of Carnival. Guests will also be given complimentary tickets to the famous Sambadrome parade.

Reservations are being accepted starting January 12, 2010. Accommodation on this 91-day voyage starts at $39,187 per person. Space is limited and the two introductory voyages prior to the Grand Inaugural have already sold out.
